Quality Inspector Job Description
The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing comprehensive inspections on all civil aviation articles received by the repair station. This role ensures compliance with current technical data as per manufacturer's instructions, operator technical data, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives, in alignment with FAA approved standards.
ResponsibilitiesPerform inspections of maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alteration of aircraft powerplants, appliances, or parts received at the repair station.
Conduct inspections and required checks following accepted or approved data methods, standards, and limits to ensure work completion.
Inspect major repairs and alterations to verify adherence to approved data, correct tool usage, and absence of unauthorized deviations.
Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, repairs, and alterations inspections in line with company procedures.
Conduct inspection tasks as specified on company job cards, repair, and routing travelers, recording discrepancies as needed.
Review corrective action entries, including installed parts/material tags, tools and equipment used, proper signoff and references.
Perform receiving inspections on incoming parts, materials, and tooling to ensure compliance with company standards, generating applicable identification tags.
Assist in the development and training of new inspectors.
Exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in inspection methods, techniques, aids, tools, and equipment used in aircraft jet engine maintenance.
Airframe and/or Powerplant license.
3 – 5 years experience in aircraft jet engine maintenance.
CFM
56 engine inspection experience.Borescope inspection and interpretation of technical data.
Familiarity with all regulatory requirements governing aircraft jet engine maintenance.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in the aviation industry with CFM engines is advantageous.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $52.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
