Job Description Overview
We are seeking a Ports & Marine Structural Engineer to join us in Miami, FL. AtkinsRéalis, one of the ENR top ranked firms for Ports and Marine Facilities, has a longstanding history in Florida and the rest of the nation with a portfolio of high-profile ports and marine projects for clients such as Port Miami, Port Everglades and Port Canaveral.
Your Role- Perform engineering analysis and design, and production of engineering drawings and specifications for ports, marine and coastal structures including docks, piers, wharves, bulkhead, mooring and breasting dolphins, trestles and shoreside platforms for deepwater cruise and cargo ports, liquid and dry bulk terminals, shipyard and other waterfront and marine infrastructure.
- Perform inspection and condition assessment of ports and waterfront infrastructure.
- Perform engineering analysis and design, assist with the development of construction plans, specifications and cost estimates.
- Conduct data acquisition and analysis, researching the feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and/or regulatory agency specifications or regulations.
- Work involves coordination, research and problem solving on a variety of engineering projects with unique or controversial problems, the solution of which has an important effect on major organization programs.
