It contributes essential roadway data, contract documentation, and maintenance reviews that guide funding, compliance, and operational decisions. By serving as a technical liaison with contractors, permit tees, and consultants, it helps maintain a safe, reliable, and well ‑ managed transportation network.

analyze complex plans and perform independent complex technical assignments to accomplish inspection and monitoring of work activities performed within the state right of way. Verify that work is performed according to all state and federal specifications, plans, permits, policies, procedures, statutes, rules. Use various engineering tools, equipment, instruments and computers for performing technical engineering tasks, problem solving and record keeping.
