Narrative Designer

This role requires working from our office in Miami several days per week.

Do you love video games and also have a passion for writing? Is your sense of humor a bit off-the-wall? We're looking to expand our writing team at Candywriter with a talented narrative designer who fits these criteria to contribute to Bit Life’s ever-growing body of content.

• Create compelling scenarios that keep our players engaged with new content
• Write and edit UX copy and in-game messages to players
• Collaborate with game designers, artists, and devs to align story with gameplay
• Develop creative content for events, updates, and live ops
• Contribute to brand voice and marketing narratives where needed

• Detail-oriented and collaborative
• Familiar with AI tools like ChatGPT, Sudowrite, or similar - and know when to use them (and when not to)
• 2+ years of writing experience in games, entertainment, or digital media
• Strong storytelling chops, especially in short-form and interactive formats
• A deep understanding of mobile gaming trends, genres, and player motivations
• Excellent English grammar, editing, and creative revision skills
• Comfort working with deadlines and adapting to evolving game designs
