Stage Technician

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate all technical equipment for live shows and events, including lighting, sound, and video systems onboard the cruise ship
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure all technical aspects of the show are executed according to plan
• Troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during rehearsals or performances
• Maintain and repair equipment as needed to ensure smooth operation
• Assist with the load-in and load-out of equipment at each port of call
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others
• Keep detailed records of all technical equipment and supplies, and assist with inventory management
• Train and supervise other crew members on the proper use and handling of technical equipment
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in technology to continuously improve our shows and events

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Stage Technician in a live entertainment setting
• Strong working knowledge of lighting, sound, and video equipment and systems
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment and work schedule
• Flexibility to travel and work on a cruise ship for extended periods of time
• Technical certification or degree in a related field is preferred
