Investment Accountant

My client, a leader in the financial services space with an impressive portfolio, is seeking an experienced Investment Operations Accountant to support the accounting and operational functions of investment funds. This role works closely with internal finance teams, fund administrators, and external partners to ensure accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance across multiple investment vehicles.

• Keep fund accounting records accurate and up to date, including NAV calculations
• Review reports from fund administrators and reconcile investor statements
• Handle daily, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations for cash, investments, and capital activity
• Support month-end and year-end close alongside the finance team
• Help prepare financial statements in line with GAAP
• Assist with audits, tax reporting, and regulatory filings
• Track capital calls, distributions, and investor allocations
• Spot discrepancies, troubleshoot issues, and help improve accounting processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in fund accounting, investment accounting, or financial services
• Familiarity with investment structures like private equity or hedge funds
• Experience working with fund administrators and auditors
• Strong Excel skills; experience with accounting or portfolio systems is a plus
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with numbers and deadlines
