Ascendo is excited to present this opportunity in the financial services industry. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Fund Accountant to join an amazing firm that is on an upward trajectory. The ideal candidate will have at experience in fund accounting, a strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles, and experience with various fund types, including private equity and hedge funds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger for multiple fund entities.
• Monitor and analyze trading costs to ensure compliance with stated fees.
• Calculate capital calls, distributions, and management fees.
• Book trades in the accounting system on an ongoing basis.
• Prepare and calculate Net Asset Value (NAV).

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of work experience in Fund Accounting or Fund Administration.
• Proficiency in various financial accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Advanced understanding of Fair Value GAAP Accounting and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of accounting principles for different securities, including fixed income.
