Financial Analyst
Boyne Capital is a Miami, Florida-based private equity firm focused on investments in lower middle market companies with a long-track record of top-tier returns. We have invested in over thirty-five platforms and over sixty-five add-on investments in industries including business services, industrial services, e-commerce, consumer products, healthcare services, and niche manufacturing. We are actively deploying our second committed fund. We are value investors with a scaled, differentiated operations team which helps execute our proven value creation playbook.
Reporting to the CEO and senior deal team leadership, you will play a key role in championing deals from inception to closing. Our deal team focuses on investments in the lower middle market; we often work directly with business owners and executives outside of formal advisor managed processes. We invest across a broad range of industries, including business services, industrial services, e-commerce, consumer products, healthcare services, and niche manufacturing.
This individual is expected to be a self-directed individual who can author an investment thesis and generate actionable investment opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Generate investment ideas and source transactions that meet Boyne’s value-oriented investment strategy
- Analyze potential investment opportunities by reviewing materials, conducting industry research, performing financial analysis, and developing structure, valuation, and offer proposal
- Lead due diligence on investment opportunities by leading commercial and business diligence and managing third-party diligence providers
- Structure and negotiate with business owners and advisors to consummate investments in new portfolio companies
- Participate in the ongoing management of portfolio companies in collaboration with Boyne’s operations team, including leading add-on acquisition activity and supporting the execution of other strategic initiatives
Qualifications:
- 7-8+ years of work experience including investment banking and private equity
- Strong academic credentials: MBA is a positive but not required
- Motivated individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines
- Ability to work with the owners of lower middle market companies ($20mm to $150mm in revenues) outside the formality of traditional auction processes
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to be on-site in Miami, FL (Coconut Grove)
