Vice President – Corporate Credit Analysis
Overview

A U.S.

-based financial institution is seeking a VP or SVP level, Corporate Credit Analyst to lead complex credit underwriting and risk assessment for corporate and structured finance transactions across the Americas. This role serves as a senior credit authority, partnering closely with lending teams and credit leadership to support prudent growth, portfolio quality, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead independent credit underwriting for corporate and structured finance transactions, including detailed risk assessment, repayment analysis, and profitability evaluation
  • Prepare high-quality written credit memoranda and executive summaries for senior credit management and loan committees
  • Assess borrower and guarantor financials, including financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, collateral, and covenant structures
  • Provide credit structuring recommendations aligned with industry, transaction type, and internal policy
  • Oversee credit quality standards and provide guidance to lending teams to ensure complete, consistent, and compliant credit submissions
  • Monitor portfolio exposure by industry, geography, and product, ensuring adherence to internal risk limits
  • Participate in annual loan reviews, audits, and regulatory examinations, supporting clean outcomes with no material findings
  • Act as a senior advisor to relationship managers and internal stakeholders on complex credit matters
  • Contribute to enhancements in credit methodologies, rating tools, and portfolio management processes
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related. MBA would be aplus (not required)
  • Minimum 5+ years of corporate credit analysis experience (senior-level exposure preferred)
  • Strong understanding of corporate banking, loan structuring, and underwriting for large corporates
  • Knowledge of BSA/AML requirements
  • Advanced skills in financial analysis, credit writing, Excel, and Word
