Position: BSA Alert Investigation Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing a variety of fraud detection related activities in support of Customer Identification Program (CIP), (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations designed to prevent financial‑related crimes.
  • Focus on international banking transactions; responsibilities include reviewing and monitoring of account activity to identify unusual activity.
  • Performs review of monthly exception alerts in ASSIST.
  • Review and creation of Currency Transaction Reports.
  • Review of OFAC reports for suspected matches, due diligence reviews of existing and potential new high‑risk customers, research and analysis.
  • Performs Lexis Nexis reviews and searches.
  • May perform research and negative news searches, online searches, and subscription‑based resources when reviewing a customer's account activity.
  • Recommend process improvements regarding best practices or efficiency gains.
  • Adheres to SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
  • Adheres to established metrics and logs for KPI (Key Performance Indicators) & KRIs (Key Risk Indicators) within the unit.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
  • Certified Anti‑Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or Certified BSA/AML Professional (CBAP) certification preferred.
  • Two years of experience in a banking position either in a BSA position or teller, operations, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Language skills: excellent written/verbal skills.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
