What You’ll DoEssential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned:
Core Duties
- Work closely with the Business Development Officer, Loan Processing and Loan Closing department to ensure required documents are provided by the borrower and/or broker and underwriting guidelines are fully met.
- Accurately review financial statements, credit reports and applicable ratios to make an underwriting decision.
- Prepares credit analysis including analysis of financial statements to prepare loan approval memoranda which includes repayment analysis, collateral analysis, sufficient funds to close on the transaction, risk rating determination and loan exception identification.
- Develop a timely flow of underwriting files and conditions’ sign off to facilitate bank’s turn-around times.
- Complete a thorough analysis of loan files to determine compliance with bank, investor, and government guidelines and verify the validity of all data that has been noted on the loan application.
- Assist in any special projects or assignments as needed.
- Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Business-related field.
- NMLS Mortgage Licensed preferred
- Two years of mortgage experience, customer service and general banking experience.
- Must be bilingual in both English and Spanish. Ability to fluently speak, understand, read and write both languages
- Advanced Skills with Microsoft Office, Encompass
