Collections Specialist

Description

We are looking for a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team in Miami, Florida. The ideal candidate will excel in managing accounts receivable processes and resolving payment discrepancies while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail. This role requires proficiency in utilizing Excel for reporting and analysis, as well as expertise in negotiating payment arrangements effectively.

Responsibilities:

- Monitor and manage aging reports to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.

- Utilize Excel to organize and analyze data, including the use of pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.

- Post payments accurately and reconcile accounts receivable to maintain financial accuracy.

- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts, ensuring all issues are addressed promptly.

- Negotiate payment arrangements with clients to facilitate successful collections.

- Maintain detailed and organized records of all collection activities.

- Communicate effectively with customers to address billing concerns and resolve disputes.

- Identify opportunities to streamline collection processes and improve efficiency.

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate billing and payment tracking.

Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in collections, including commercial and consumer accounts.

- Strong knowledge of credit and collection processes.

- Proficiency in Excel, with the ability to use pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.

- Demonstrated expertise in billing and accounts receivable management.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to negotiate payment arrangements effectively.

- Strong problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies efficiently.

- Exceptional communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.
