Senior Commercial Portfolio Manager II

The Senior Commercial Portfolio Manager II supports the Commercial Banking business line by partnering closely with Relationship Managers to structure, screen, and manage commercial and CRE relationships. This role reflects a strategic separation of portfolio management from underwriting, allowing the Senior PM to focus on front-end financial analysis, deal structuring, and ongoing portfolio oversight. The position is aligned with the business side of the bank and plays a critical role in ensuring credit opportunities are well-vetted and properly structured before advancing to underwriting.

• Partner with Relationship Managers to structure commercial and CRE transactions
• Perform first-look financial analysis and deal screening prior to underwriting
• Review borrower financial statements and assess overall credit merit
• Prepare structured deal summaries and screening presentations
• Conduct annual review first looks and ongoing financial reviews
• Provide portfolio oversight with a focus on credit quality and risk identification
• Ensure opportunities meet internal PM standards before advancing in the credit process
• Maintain organized, disciplined, and consistent work product aligned with PM expectations

• Extensive experience in commercial banking
  , portfolio management, or credit
• Strong knowledge of commercial and CRE credit analysis and deal structuring
• C&I Experience
• Prior experience as a Portfolio Manager, Senior Credit Analyst, or similar role
• Ability to work closely with Relationship Managers in a business-facing role
• Highly organized with strong analytical and risk assessment skills
• Professional demeanor with strong judgment and communication skills
