Vice President Financial Reporting

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements including applicable financial statement notes
• Subject matter expert on US GAAP and responsible for the preparation and filing of financial statements
• Assist in managing the relationship with the external auditors, ensuring the audit reports get issued timely and any audit issues are resolved proactively and efficiently
• Interpret and implement new technical accounting standards and assess their impact on the company's financial statements.
• Implement new accounting policies and maintain / update existing policies for changes in the organization structure, reporting requirements or other specific transactions
• Oversee the fair value accounting processes, ensuring accurate and compliant valuations of financial instruments and other assets.
• Work with external auditors on requests for assistance; prepare schedules, as necessary.
• Manage and mentor a team of financial reporting professionals.
• Drive collaborative and proactive relationships with key stakeholders, including key constituents such as FP&A, Capital Markets, Legal & Compliance, and Data departments.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required; CPA is required
• 8+ years of relevant experience in accounting, with top tier public accounting foundation
• Experience working with financial reporting tools
• Ability to interact with senior level external auditors and multiple internal stakeholders
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting principles and practices and ability to research / problem solve complex accounting issues on an as needed basis.
