Description

The Concessions Cashier is responsible for daily collection and reconciliation of concessions sales and sales taxes due from on-site concessionaires during the Fair.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Greet Concessionaries and provide excellent customer service.

• Accurately handle cash transactions; ensure customers write correct and legible amounts on checks.

• Collect funds (cash & check) due to the Fair from concessionaires and process them in the Momentus system.

• Reconcile cash collected with cash register reports at the end of each shift.

• Provide accurate changes and ensure the cash register is balanced at the end of each shift.

• Prepare daily bank deposits.

• Prepare daily Cash Journal.

• Prepare a daily list of concessionaires' check payments and provide it to the Finance Manager.

• Address customer inquiries and provide prompt, friendly assistance.

• Work closely with the on-site audit team and accounting to reconcile any differences and resolve issues.

• Assist the shift supervisor with other tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cashier role with a strong focus on cash handling.

• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during Fair.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excel experience a plus.
