What is the opportunity?
RBC is seeking an experienced sales professional to drive our Banking and Lending business within RBC US Wealth Management’s Clearing & Custody channel. This role is critical to driving the adoption and expansion of our financial products and services among Broker-Dealers (BDs) and Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), helping them better serve their Financial Advisors and clients with innovative lending and banking solutions.
Whatwill you do?
- Act as the subject matter expert for RBC’s Clearing & Custody channel on cash management and lending solutions
- Build a culture of cash management and lending adoption across the Clearing & Custody channel by effectively communicating the importance of incorporating banking and lending solutions
- Partner with Clearing & Custody’s BD & RIA affiliated financial advisors to identify opportunities to enhance client relationships and outcomes through strategic use of banking & lending products
- Be accountable to key performance metrics including the development and maintenance of a pipeline of opportunities to meet targets, including, but not limited to loan commitments and balances, revenue, units and Advisor participation
- Report key performance metrics to management and field management
- Partner with Associate Bankers to provide financial advisors and their clients cash management and lending solutions and support
- Ensure Financial Advisors and clients are following proper risk management and compliance protocols when utilizing lending and cash management solutions
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant experience
- 5+ years’ experience at a custodian, clearing firm, or large broker-dealer, with direct experience in cash management and lending solutions
- Proven business development experience, preferably within the cash management and lending space in a wealth management context
- Strong understanding of cash management and lending products including bank deposits and securities-based loans
- Strong drive to grow a business and hit key performance targets while ensuring products are suitable for clients and properly managing risk to the firm
- Strong interpersonal skills, including developing relationships with financial advisors
- Strong ability to ask critical questions, anticipate problems/future needs, and take ownership
- SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 licenses required or to be obtained within 90 days of employment
- Demonstrated interpersonal effectiveness of working with a diverse set of departments across an organization
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing business environments and adjust strategic plan, if necessary

Salary range: $120,000-$200,000 (New York), $99,000-$176,000 (Los Angeles, Chicago), $90,000-$160,000 (Denver, Dallas, Miami) depending on experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs. RBC offers discretionary variable compensation to increase total compensation when performance targets are met.
