Job Summary
Join our team as a Senior Construction Loan Administration Officer, where you will play a key role in managing Residential, Commercial, SBA 504 and 7A, Multifamily, and Builders line construction loans. This position entails working with complex syndicated or participated relationships while ensuring adherence to legal agreements and internal controls. Your proactive approach in risk identification and effective communication with builders, clients, and banks will drive our commitment to prudent growth and exceptional customer service.
CoreResponsibilities
- Administer the construction draw process, including initiating inspections, monitoring progress payment affidavits, and coordinating draw requests.
- Ensure proper closure of construction loan files through payoff or conversion to permanent financing
- Review and approve draw requests, ensuring compliance with loan agreements and internal policies.
- Maintain thorough loan records and actively monitor construction progression, budgets, and compliance.
- Communicate seamlessly with builders, clients, and financial partners to resolve issues and ensure project success.
- Support audits and internal reviews, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Uphold the highest legal and ethical standards while ensuring compliance with all bank policies.
- Act as the primary construction loan administrator, liaising with syndicate and participation partners.
- Oversee construction draw processing and ensure accurate disbursement of funds.
- Prepare and distribute funding requests and advance allocations efficiently.
- Communicate project updates, issues, and key changes to all stakeholders.
- Review participation agreements thoroughly and fund advances accurately and timely based on lead bank notifications.
- Monitor compliance with loan terms and escape any concerns as per internal policies.
- Ensure precise reporting and maintain ongoing risk monitoring of our exposure.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Five or more years of experience in construction loan administration or commercial loan operations.
- Strong knowledge of construction loan agreements, syndications, and risk mitigation practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Ability to manage complex loan structures and meet time-sensitive funding requirements.
- Proficient in loan servicing, document management systems, and Microsoft Excel.
