A growing international banking organization is seeking a relationship‑focused Personal Banking Officer to support and manage a portfolio of high‑net‑worth and affluent clients throughout LATAM and the United States.
This role serves as a primary point of contact for clients, providing exceptional service, assisting with deposit and lending solutions, coordinating account onboarding, and supporting day‑to‑day banking needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of personal banking products, experience working with international clients, and a passion for delivering a best‑in‑class client experience.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary relationship contact for international and domestic personal banking clients, delivering a high level of service and responsiveness
- Manage and grow existing client relationships by identifying opportunities to deepen banking relationships and introduce appropriate products and services
- Assist clients with deposit products, treasury solutions, consumer lending inquiries, and other banking services
- Facilitate account opening, onboarding, maintenance requests, and documentation collection while ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with Compliance, Operations, Lending, and other internal departments to ensure timely resolution of client requests and issues
- Conduct periodic account reviews and maintain accurate client records and documentation
- Support Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti‑Money Laundering (AML), and customer due diligence requirements
- Educate clients on available banking products and services and provide guidance based on their financial needs
- Assist clients with wire transfers, account servicing requests, online banking support, and general banking inquiries
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and strengthen long‑term relationships
- Participate in client meetings, networking events, and community activities as appropriate
- Stay current on banking products, regulatory requirements, and market developments affecting clients
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in private banking, international banking, retail banking, wealth management, or relationship management
- Experience working with LLATAM clients and cross‑border banking relationships preferred
- Strong understanding of personal banking products including deposits, lending, cash management, and general banking services
- Knowledge of KYC, AML, BSA, and customer due diligence requirements
- Exceptional client service and relationship management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple client relationships and priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with banking systems, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple business units
- Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written) required
