I am currently representing a growing concrete specialist in the Miami area who are currently looking for a Controller
The Controller will oversee company's financial health and all accounting activities reporting directly to our CFO.
This individual should have strong analytic, organizational, and problem-solving skills. They should also be proficient in relevant accounting standards and requirements, such as GAAP, International Financial Reporting Standards, and SEC financial reporting regulations. They also must be proficient in Sage which is the software currently used by our Company.
ABOUTTHE ROLE
- Financial reporting:
Prepare and coordinate internal and external financial statements. - Budgeting:
Manage budgets, including forecasting, monitoring variances, and reporting deficiencies - Accounting:
Oversee accounting functions, including payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable - Compliance:
Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, including tax planning and compliance - Risk management:
Establish and monitor internal controls to protect assets - Financial analysis:
Identify trends, efficiencies, and areas for cost reduction - Audits:
Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors - Staff management:
Hire, train, and retain accounting staff.
- Excellent organizational skills & strong communication
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
- Thorough knowledge of accrual and cash basis of accounting
- Ability to work under pressure, independently
- Attention to detail & accuracy is important
- Proactive; possess strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Complete necessary documentation for contracts
- Work within GC portals to complete any accounting or reporting requirements
- Manage ALL company credit cards and expenses
- Experience with Procore and Smartsheet is a PLUS
