Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting
This position is responsible for supporting the Financial Reporting unit in their day-to-day activities including analysis and preparation of internal reports, analyzing interest margins, fee income and expenses, assisting in preparation of management, profitability and regulatory reports. In addition, the development, analysis, and presentation of business cases to various areas of the bank. Additional duties will include assisting the Treasury unit and the Strategic Planning unit in various functions.
DUTIES& RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Prepare and maintain detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and forecasts.
- Perform variance analysis between actuals, budget, and prior year to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and board reporting packages.
- Support automated month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliation and digital reporting.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, bank regulatory requirements, and internal accounting policies.
- Support the preparation and filing of regulatory reports (e.g., Call Reports, FR Y-9, etc.).
- Assist in audits and examinations by external auditors and regulators
- Prepare daily dashboards and assist with profitability analyses for products and services.
- Analyze loan and deposit pricing impacts on margins and performance.
- Maintain and improve financial models, dashboards, and internal reporting tools.
- Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure accurate and reliable data sources.
- Prepare Ad hoc analyses.
- Assist the Department in its day-to-day functions as requested.
- BA in Accounting or Finance, or five (5) years of experience in general accounting and banking or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge preferred
- Work requires full understanding of general accounting principles
- Advanced analytical skills and very high level of accuracyrequired
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate professionally and interact with individuals across the organization
- Advanced computer technology skills and proficient with Microsoft applications - with excellent knowledge of spreadsheets
- Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Good organizational skills and detail oriented
- Able to work independently and on diversified projects while meeting deadlines
- Work with integrity and ethically upholding organizational values
There are no current supervisory responsibilities for the position.
