Asset & Wealth Management - Miami - Associate, Non-Self-Sustaining Advisor

Job Duties

Associate, Non‑Self‑Sustaining Advisor with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Miami, Florida. Create comprehensive wealth management plans for ultra‑high net‑worth individuals and families predominantly based in Mexico, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments. Formulate and express investment views for clients’ portfolios, field questions in English and Spanish on market events, and outline the Firm’s investment thesis for the future across all global asset classes – public equities, fixed income, option derivative securities, foreign currencies, hedge funds, real estate, private equity and bank lending.

Work one‑on‑one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies. Support existing client relationships and source new business opportunities, building a strong network of intermediaries in the local Mexico market. Deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of the firm’s US‑based trading authorization and beyond, which may include tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services.

Create asset allocation strategies and holistic wealth‑advisory recommendations for clients.

Education:

Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, with one (1) year of experience in the job offered or related role, or Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) with three (3) years of experience in the same area. Prior employment must include one (1) year of experience (with a Master’s) or three (3) years with a Bachelor’s, in building client base and increasing revenues for a project or venture;

networking with ultra‑high net‑worth individuals, scheduling meetings with potential investors, and building relationships in the process; raising capital from investors in Mexico and LatAM; managing operations and logistics of a venture; financial and cash management; and holding investor calls to update on the status of a venture or investment. Fluency in Spanish required to communicate with Mexican clients. Travel up to 40% of the time to Mexico required to meet with and build relationships with clients.
