Senior Accountant Real Estate Developer

Steven Douglas has partnered with a well-established and growing real estate development firm in Miami to place a Senior Development Accountant. This is a newly created role driven by portfolio expansion — not a backfill — which means you'll be walking into a team that needs your expertise and is excited to have you!

• Own the full accounting lifecycle for 2–3 active development projects, from pre-development through stabilization and debt conversion
• Lead the preparation and submission of monthly construction draw packages to lenders, investors, and public funding sources
• Maintain and reconcile detailed project financials including budgets, sources & uses, loan balances, equity contributions, and cost schedules for audit support
• Serve as a financial point person across all project phases, managing cash flow, invoice approvals, lien waiver tracking, and cross-department collaboration

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 5+ years of accounting experience with at least 3 years specifically in real estate development
• Hands‑on experience preparing and managing construction draw packages
• A self‑sufficient, analytically‑minded accountant who can identify issues, develop solutions, and manage competing deadlines independently
• Prior experience in Yardi highly preferred
