Real Estate Development & Construction

Location:

Miami-Dade County, Florida

Employment Type:

Full-Time | Executive Leadership

About the Group

We are a growing real estate and construction group operating across development, construction, and investment activities throughout South Florida. Over the past 10 years, the group has successfully completed more than 15 projects and currently has 6 active projects under development and construction.

The group manages over $30 million in assets under management (AUM) and is supported by a team of 20 professionals across construction, operations, finance, and development.

Our companies combine high-end construction execution with entrepreneurial real estate development, managing projects from acquisition and financing through construction and delivery.

This is not a traditional corporate environment. We operate with a hands‑on, fast‑moving mindset where execution, adaptability, and ownership matter as much as technical expertise.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a VP Finance to help lead the next stage of growth for our real estate development and construction platform.

This role combines financial leadership, capital markets expertise, team building, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will be comfortable discussing financing structures with lenders and investors, reviewing project cash flows and financial models, and partnering closely with the founders on key business decisions.

The position reports directly to the founders and offers significant exposure to all aspects of the business. For the right candidate, this role provides a unique opportunity to help shape the future of the organization and grow into broader executive leadership responsibilities over time.

Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership
  • Lead the financial strategy of the group across construction, development, and investment operations
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting
  • Manage and help scale an existing finance and administrative team of 3 professionals
  • Develop financial models for development and construction projects
  • Optimize capital allocation across multiple projects and business units
  • Improve financial controls, reporting systems, and operational efficiency

  • Structure and negotiate construction loans, development financing, and credit facilities
  • Support capital raising initiatives and investor communications
  • Participate in presentations to lenders, investors, and strategic partners
  • Assist with investor reporting and ongoing relationship management
Strategic Planning & Business Leadership
  • Partner with the founders on strategic planning and company growth initiatives
  • Evaluate acquisitions, developments, joint ventures, and investment opportunities
  • Support key business decisions through financial analysis and market insights
  • Collaborate closely with construction, development, and administrative teams to improve performance and scalability
  • Help establish scalable processes and systems as the organization grows
Leadership & Team Development
  • Help recruit, develop, and mentor finance and administrative personnel
  • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the founders on both financial and business matters
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in finance leadership roles within real estate development, construction, or related industries
  • Strong understanding of real estate finance, project underwriting, construction accounting, and capital structuring
  • Proven experience working with banks, lenders, and private investors
  • Experience preparing and analyzing project-level financial models
  • Experience operating in entrepreneurial, founder-led, or high-growth environments
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and communication skills
  • Located in Miami‑Dade County or willing to relocate
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in both real estate development and construction businesses
  • Experience managing financing for ground‑up development projects
  • Experience interacting with high-net-worth investors, family offices, and private capital sources
  • CPA, MBA, or advanced financial education is a plus, but not required
