We are seeking a motivated, detail‑oriented summer intern to support our Reinsurance Operations & Technical Accounting team responsible for the Latin America (LATAM) portfolio. The intern will work closely with a team of six professionals, including Reinsurance Operations Technical Analyst and Credit Control, gaining hands‑on exposure to reinsurance accounting operations, data reconciliation, portfolio management, and client servicing activities.
Your Responsibilities- Support the LATAM Operations team in reconciling and analyzing legacy and migrated balances.
- Review migrated data for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and assist with documentation and corrections.
- Assist in reviewing Statements of Account (SOA) from brokers and cedents, validating premium, claims, reserves, and cash activity reported in SOAs.
- Maintain and update quarterly static and missing account reports, including tracking follow‑ups.
- Conduct research and analysis to support balance investigations and reconciliations.
- Contribute to data cleanup and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Technical Analysts and Credit Control teams to support LATAM operational and accounting processes.
- Participate in process improvements and special projects as needed.
- Provide analytical support across the LATAM Reinsurance Operations Technical team.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, risk management, or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team environment.
- Bilingual:
English and Spanish.
