Trade Finance Credit Analyst; Banking industry Spanish

A growing international financial institution is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to support a specialized Trade Finance platform focused on commercial lending, structured working capital solutions, and cross-border transactions throughout the Americas.

This position will play a key role in underwriting and portfolio risk assessment, preparing credit recommendations for senior management and credit committee review, and supporting an expanding trade finance program with clear advancement opportunities.

• Perform credit underwriting and risk analysis for commercial and industrial (C&I) borrowers.
• Analyze borrower financial statements prepared under both US GAAP and IFRS.
• Assess liquidity, leverage, cash flow, and working capital performance.
• Prepare detailed credit memoranda for presentation to senior credit management and credit committee.
• Evaluate short-term commercial financing structures and trade finance transactions.
• Monitor existing credit exposures and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
• Support portfolio management activities and ongoing credit reviews.
• Mentor and oversee the work product of a Junior Credit Analyst.
• Communicate effectively with borrowers and counter parties throughout the Americas in both English and Spanish.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of credit analysis and underwriting experience within a regulated financial institution.
• Strong commercial and industrial (C&I) credit underwriting experience.
• Advanced financial statement analysis skills.
• Experience preparing formal credit committee memoranda.
• Strong cash flow, leverage, and working capital modeling capabilities.
• Bilingual English and Spanish (spoken and written).

• Experience supporting Latin American borrowers.
• Trade finance experience including forfaiting, documentary collections, and bill discounting.
• Knowledge of insured receivables financing and trade credit insurance structures.
• Exposure to revolving commercial financing facilities.
• Agribusiness sector experience.
• Experience with bank participations and syndicated structures.
• MBA, CFA, FRM, or similar advanced credentials.

This role will start leading a team of junior credit analysts, and offers the potential and defined advancement path into a Managerial position and a VP-level credit leadership positions as the platform continues to expand.
