Job Description & How to Apply Below

Cerebro is hiring a Strategic Finance Analyst to support founders and leadership teams with financial planning, forecasting, and decision support in fast-growing companies. This role is designed for early-career professionals with strong analytical skills who want direct exposure to how capital, growth, and risk are managed in real operating environments.

You will work closely with senior advisors to build financial models, analyze performance, and prepare board- and investor-ready materials. Your work will directly inform decisions around runway, capital allocation, pricing, hiring, and growth strategy. Precision, structure, and sound judgment are essential.

This is not a reporting-only role. Analysis produced here is used in live decision-making contexts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain multi-year financial models, including operating forecasts, cash flow projections, and scenario analysis.
  • Perform runway analysis, burn tracking, and sensitivity testing to support capital planning decisions.
  • Analyze unit economics, margins, pricing, and cost structures to identify risks and operating levers.
  • Stress-test assumptions and clearly surface implications for senior review.
Reporting & Decision Support
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management and board-level reporting packages.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and budget versus actual analysis.
  • Translate operational inputs into structured financial insights for founders and executives.
  • Contribute to investor updates, fundraising materials, and strategic decision memos.
Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Work closely with corporate operations and compliance teams to ensure financial data is complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
  • Coordinate with client teams to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Support senior team members in capital strategy discussions, financing processes, and transaction readiness efforts.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, consulting, corporate finance, or finance roles in high-growth companies.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and solid accounting fundamentals.
  • High attention to detail and comfort working with imperfect or evolving data.
  • Ability to structure ambiguous problems and communicate conclusions clearly.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; familiarity with reporting or dashboarding tools is a plus.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-expectation environments with limited supervision.
  • Prior exposure to founder-led or growth-stage environments is a plus.
Who Thrives in This Role
  • Analysts who enjoy turning messy information into clear financial narratives.
  • Professionals who take ownership of their work and stand behind their outputs.
  • Individuals comfortable working close to decision-makers and under real time pressure.
  • Early-career talent looking to build judgment in strategic finance, not just technical skills.
