The VP, Relationship Manager in Wealth Management Brickell is responsible for attracting new clients and identifying potential prospects within the established portfolio to meet business development goals.
ResponsibilitiesThis position will generate revenue from new and existing clients through account additions and cross‑selling other products, including lending and investment products, for Ocean Bank and its subsidiaries. It will perform all required customer due diligence, including customer interviews and document gathering, keep customer profiles up to date, conduct enhanced due diligence when applicable, and ensure compliance with BSA, KYC, bank policies, procedures, and relevant laws, rules and regulations.
Once relationships are established, the position will respond to BSA requests and keep all customer profile information and documentation current—such as W‑9, W‑8
BEN, CIP documentation (driver’s licenses, passports), core and supporting bank documents, updated financial statements and other support documentation—and comply with all related CIP and BSA/AML requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance with five (5) years of banking‑related experience in product sales and servicing customers in international/private banking branch operations, or Associate’s degree with a minimum of seven (7) years experience directly related to proactive sales and servicing customers in international/private banking branch operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledgeable on internal bank operations (new accounts, wire transfers, debits/credits) and banking and/or investment products to cross‑sell.
- Must be able to travel and visit prospective new clients within a designated area to increase depository and loan production/sales goals.
- Preferable work experience in an international/private banking branch environment.
- Series 6, 7, 65, or 66 securities license(s), and/or the State of Florida 2‑14 or 2‑15 insurance license(s) highly preferred. An established client portfolio preferred.
- Formal credit training and/or experience in commercial, consumer or real estate lending a plus.
- Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, time‑management, written and verbal communication skills (English/Spanish and Portuguese preferred).
- Computer proficiency in MS Office (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience working in a sales team and delivering high‑quality service advocacy.
- In‑depth knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act/AML requirements is required.
- Knowledge of KYC completion is required.
- Understanding of banking laws and applicable compliance regulations is preferred.
