About the Role:This role partners closely with the Chief Investment Officer (“CIO”), overseeing the execution of investment strategies and portfolio risk mitigation. It is ideal for someone with a deep interest in investing and a desire to focus on corporate credit, structured products, real estate, private investments, asset liability management, hedging, and regulatory capital. We’re looking for a Investment Analyst who will play a critical role in executing Prosperity Life’s investment strategy.
In this role, you’ll work as part of the Office of the CIO to oversee investment management. You’ll be responsible for working as part of a team to oversee strategy execution, credit surveillance, and asset liability management (ALM) risk. This role will build and produce both ongoing and ad‑hoc reporting and analysis.
Investment Oversight
- Monitors and assesses performance of investment managers.
- Communicates asset allocation strategies.
- Identify and track key performance indicators.
- Contributes perspectives on the investment environment to assist in portfolio construction and investment strategy.
- Assess impacts to liquidity, asset liability management, and regulatory capital.
- Reviews portfolio risk metrics and develops strategies to maximize yield while controlling risk variables.
- Develops strategies to implement Strategic Asset Allocation output.
- Reviews purchases and sales of investments.
- Analyze investment impacts to NAIC RBC and statutory capital, leading capital adequacy insights and governance across entities
- Reviews and analyzes investment reports in order to contribute to investment decisions.
- Partners with accounting on impairment and valuation topics, etc.
- Identifies and mitigates risks in the overall investment process.
- Prepare investment reporting and insights for senior leadership, including market updates, investment performance, capital impacts, and emerging risks.
- Translates complex analytics into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership, executive committees, Board, and non‑technical audiences.
- Support development of materials for executive committees and Board‑level discussions.
- Collaborate with FP&A, actuarial, treasury, tax, accounting, and product teams to embed investment considerations into planning, pricing, and strategic initiatives.
- Effectively manages ownership for investment inputs required by other departments (i.e. corporate projection model, actuarial models, etc.).
- Provide insights to support decision‑making on new business and organizational priorities.
- Drive enhancements to investment analytics, modeling capabilities, and reporting processes.
- Improve efficiency, automation, and governance of investment‑related workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field of study; 2‑5 years of progressively responsible related experience in investment management, accounting, investment banking; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Progress or achievement of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or MBA is a plus.
- Advanced Excel/modeling capabilities; ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights and recommendations.
- Strong knowledge of liquid credit and private markets.
- Exhibits ability to conduct ongoing independent research into market trends and activity.
- Strong ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and partner effectively across functions.
- Ability to work efficiently both in a team setting, and independently with minimal supervision.
