Position: Financial Services Representative I - Miami Gardens

Financial Service Representative - Miami Gardens Branch

Location: 20645 NW 2nd Ave, Miami Gardens, FL 33169

Starting Salary: $20.50 per hour

Summary

Provide quality customer service to members by cross-selling products and services that meet their financial needs. Financial Services Representatives I must have the ability to travel throughout the branch network within a 15-mile radius to provide staffing assistance at all branch locations, with occasional coverage beyond this radius.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Possess thorough knowledge of Dade County Federal Credit Union products and services.
  • Establish good rapport with members by greeting them, using their name, offering additional assistance, and thanking them.
  • Process all financial transactions and member inquiries accurately and timely (withdrawals, deposits, money orders, cashier’s checks, cashing checks, transfers, loan payments, cash advances).
  • Properly identify members before conducting any transaction and verify authentication items (, cash, checks) to prevent fraud or identity theft.
  • Manage new account openings and related platform functions while addressing member and employee inquiries, completing account maintenance, resolving service needs, escalating issues when appropriate, and conducting timely research to provide accurate and efficient feedback.
  • Handle loan applications, including accepting the application with required information, preparing the loan for underwriting, and completing the funding process.
  • Support branch sales objectives by recognizing opportunities to cross‑sell credit union products and services, contributing to overall sales goals and strengthening member relationships.
  • Demonstrate financial responsibility by monitoring income and expense levels and contributing to branch profitability.
  • Adhere to all Credit Union Policies and Procedures as set forth in Credit Union manuals.
  • Willingly assist all departments as requested.
  • Comply with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations and standards. Attend required BSA training.
  • Perform all other related duties as required.
Requirements
  • Two or more years of experience preferred in a financial sales environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Intermediate PC skills required; MS Office and Windows necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong mathematical skills.
  • Schedule includes extended branch and Saturday hours.
  • Ability to travel throughout the branch network to provide staffing assistance at all branch locations.
  • Bilingual:
    English and Spanish – highly desirable.
