Job Summary
This is a part‑time position scheduled for 20 hours per week. The role delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects, identifies customer needs, and provides advice and guidance regarding financial solutions that are in the best interests of customers.
Responsibilities- Deliver outstanding service to BMO customers and prospects.
- Identify customer needs and provide advice and guidance on financial solutions.
- Collaborate with branch staff and BMO partners across channels to deliver the desired customer experience and achieve business objectives.
- Assist with referral opportunities to expand customer relationships beyond personal banking.
- Welcome and guide customers as they enter the branch lobby, offering advice on digital and self‑serve options.
- Conduct client conversations about banking services, recommend alternative channels, and provide personal banking and investment advice.
- Meet transaction‑based needs with seamless execution.
- Review customer profiles and engage in needs‑based conversations to identify opportunities and address everyday banking plans and credit card needs.
- Contribute to meeting branch business results and customer experience goals.
- Support operational activities such as inventory management, escalated service requests, follow‑up on applications, filing, opening, and closing activities.
- Integrate marketing promotions and programs into customer conversations to provide strategic advice.
- Organize work information for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify and report suspicious patterns of activity related to money laundering.
- Follow risk and compliance processes and policies to safeguard customers’ assets and privacy.
- Maintain current knowledge of personal banking products, practices, and trends.
- Analyze issues, determine next steps, and engage escalation as required.
- Work at multiple branches or through various channels; work schedule may vary.
- Typically 1–2 years of relevant experience and/or certification in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Registration to sell investment products completed or in progress (must be completed within 12 months) – Canada only.
- Proficiency with social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications.
- Experience in consultative customer service or sales roles with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience.
- Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with customers.
- Aptitude for listening, problem‑solving, and responding flexibly to new challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational, collaboration, and analytical skills.
Salary range: $41,714.00 – $49,000.00, Salaried (pro‑rated for part‑time).
Potential commission structure and performance‑based incentives.
