Ascendo is excited to present this opportunity in the financial services industry. We are seeking a driven and analytically sharp professional to join an expanding investment team. This position is vital for overseeing high-value loan portfolios and driving strategic asset management decisions. The ideal professional will possess extensive experience managing structured finance portfolios, underwriting complex commercial or residential real estate collateral, and building sophisticated valuation models.
Responsibilities- Analyze and build sophisticated financial models to evaluate underlying real estate collateral and debt structures for new investment acquisitions.
- Oversee a diverse portfolio of fixed-income real estate assets, monitoring performance metrics and risk factors.
- Evaluate and authorize complex borrower requests, including property management transitions, major lease agreements, and budget variances.
- Formulate and execute strategic workout plans for non-performing or defaulted accounts in coordination with legal and management teams.
- Prepare comprehensive asset status summaries and investor reporting packages on a recurring basis.
- 4+ years of professional experience in commercial mortgage-backed securities asset management, special servicing, or residential loan investments.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and qualitative analysis of real estate collateral.
- Proven ability to conduct deep credit reviews, assessing income statements, balance sheets, and lease structures.
- Strong communication skills required to present detailed portfolio findings to executive leadership.
- Experience handling lender decision consents or structured finance modifications.
