- Accurately receive and execute trade orders from registered representatives, ensuring adherence to established trading protocols and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate closely with senior traders and external brokers to ensure timely and accurate trade execution and settlement.
- Maintain comprehensive trading documentation including trade rotation logs, the best execution records, exception reports, and error resolutions.
- Assist the Head of Trading with implementing process improvements and driving efficiency in trading and operational functions.
- Contribute proactively to departmental and cross-functional initiatives that support the firm's broader strategic objectives.
- Apply risk management strategies to minimize exposure and ensure trading activities remain within approved risk parameters.
- Monitor fixed income markets and stay current on economic indicators, geopolitical events, and financial news impacting trading decisions.
- Conduct both quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify investment opportunities and inform trading strategies.
- Share market insights and execution strategies with internal stakeholders to support cohesive team decision-making.
- Leverage trading platforms and related technologies to optimize execution performance.
- Keep informed of evolving trading technologies and integrate innovative tools to enhance daily workflows.
- Support continuous improvement efforts within trading operations to uphold operational excellence.
- Stay current on developments within global financial markets and regulatory environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Advanced credentials such as an MBA or CFA are a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in financial services in a trading environment.
- Prior experience in fixed income trading or a related execution role strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of financial markets, trading regulations, and compliance standards.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and decision‑making abilities.
- Proficiency in Bloomberg and NetX
360 platforms is preferred. - FINRA Series 7 license required.
- This role is not a remote position and must be local to Miami, FL area.
