Business Unit OverviewBlackstone Multi‑Asset Investing (“BXMA”), the world’s largest discretionary allocator to hedge funds, manages approximately $101billion in assets. BXMA invests in public and private markets through Absolute Return, Multi‑Strategy, and Total Portfolio Management, aiming to generate attractive risk‑adjusted returns while mitigating downside risk.
Responsibilities- Assist from a compliance perspective with intake of new direct and indirect investing opportunities for BXMA’s private commingled funds and accounts, coordinating with external partners, investment teams, and other Blackstone units.
- Serve as the point of contact for potential investment targets and partners to facilitate diligence by BXMA investment teams.
- Draft, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures to support new product needs and strategies.
- Perform trade compliance functions and help maintain BXMA’s restricted list.
- Coordinate with legal and compliance teams firm‑wide to assist with conflict clearances and related processes.
- Manage and document the flow of confidential investment information in compliance with Blackstone’s information‑wall policies.
- Apply AI‑enabled productivity tools or workflow‑automation platforms to improve compliance processes.
- Test or enhance operational processes using AI solutions.
- 4+years of experience at an asset manager, hedge fund, investment adviser, or other financial‑services organization involved in private and open‑market trading.
- J.D. is a plus but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, confident and effective across audiences.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and project‑management aptitude.
- Self‑motivated, able to work independently while remaining a collaborative team player and building strong relationships.
- Proactive time‑management and skill at managing projects to conclusion.
- Substantial initiative, creativity and drive to implement measured approaches under competing demands.
- Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) and ability to use them responsibly to improve compliance workflows, research, and documentation.
- Experience using technology or automation tools to streamline processes, organize data, or improve reporting and monitoring activities.
Expected annual base salary range: $135,000–$200,000. Actual salary will depend on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. For non‑U.S. roles, salary follows local market comparables.
