** Role Overview
** Santander Private Banking International is hiring a Sr. Direct Private Investment Associate in Miami, FL to build and lead a new business line providing curated access to growth-stage and late-stage private company equity and secondary market opportunities for its UHNW and HNW private banking clients.
** Key Responsibilities**- Source, analyze, and execute investments in private companies and non-listed securities, focused on pre-IPO, growth-stage, and secondary market opportunities
- Design and implement the end-to-end investment framework: sourcing, product structures, execution workflows, governance, and reporting
- Define the target universe of direct investment opportunities (late-stage growth companies, unicorns, dual-track IPO candidates) and eligible transaction types (direct secondaries, SPVs, feeder structures, bespoke mandates)- Source proprietary and platform-based pre-IPO opportunities via secondary market platforms, VC/growth equity firms, investment banks, and private placement agents; negotiate transaction terms, pricing, and allocations
- Lead due diligence covering company fundamentals, financial performance, cap table analysis, dilution scenarios, legal/structural review, IPO readiness, and downside risk
- Oversee valuation methodologies for illiquid private assets and challenge pricing assumptions in secondary transactions
** Qualifications**- Deep expertise in secondary private markets, transaction execution, and pre-IPO risk management
- Strong commercial and deal-sourcing skills within private banking or private markets
