- Perform daily exception item processing, including chargebacks, NSF items, outgoing returns, credit backs, non-posted items, and ACH returns.
- Process check adjustments, Notices of Change (NOCs), and large-item notifications.
- Complete daily and monthly general ledger (GL) and bank account reconciliations.
- Perform daily reconciliations across deposit and banking products, including DDA, savings, CDs, loans, and teller cash accounts.
- Research and resolve reconciliation discrepancies and outstanding items in a timely manner.
- Process daily general ledger and customer account entries.
- Review account maintenance activity to ensure requested changes have been accurately processed.
- Perform quality-control reviews of account changes completed by other team members.
- Screen incoming and outgoing wire transfers in accordance with applicable OFAC and EDD requirements.
- Assist with operational investigations and requests from internal auditors and regulatory examiners.
- Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for operational transactions and reconciliations.
- Serve as backup support for other Deposit Operations functions as needed.
- Assist with departmental projects, process improvements, and other operational initiatives.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of banking experience, preferably within Deposit Operations, Bank Operations, Wire Operations, or a similar back-office function.
- Hands-on experience with account reconciliations, exception processing, ACH transactions, returns, and general ledger activity preferred.
- Experience with wire transfer processing or support strongly preferred.
- Understanding of deposit accounts, including DDA and savings products.
