Commercial Relationship Officer

We are seeking a Commercial Relationship Officer to develop and manage a portfolio of middle-market commercial clients throughout South Florida. This individual will be responsible for generating new business, expanding existing relationships, and delivering customized lending, deposit, and treasury solutions to commercial customers. The ideal candidate will bring an established book of business, strong credit skills, and a proven ability to generate both loans and core deposits while serving as a trusted financial advisor to business owners and executives.

• Develop, manage, and grow a commercial banking portfolio with a strong focus on loan production and deposit generation.
• Maintain and expand relationships with existing commercial clients while actively pursuing new business opportunities.
• Generate commercial loans, deposits, treasury management services, and other fee-based banking products.
• Meet regularly with clients and prospects to understand their financial needs and identify appropriate banking solutions.
• Analyze client financial statements, cash flow, collateral, and overall creditworthiness.
• Structure commercial lending opportunities and prepare loan presentations for credit approval.
• Partner with credit and underwriting teams to ensure sound loan structure and risk management.
• Monitor portfolio performance, including renewals, annual reviews, covenant compliance, and relationship profitability.
• Review commercial loan reports, non-performing assets, and portfolio trends.
• Develop referral sources and Centers of Influence (COIs) to support business development efforts.
• Collaborate with internal partners to deliver a comprehensive banking relationship.
• Maintain compliance with all bank policies, credit standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of commercial banking and relationship management experience.
• Proven business development experience with an established and transferable book of business.
• Strong commercial credit and financial analysis skills.
• Experience managing middle-market commercial relationships.
• Demonstrated success generating commercial loans and core deposits.
• Knowledge of commercial lending structures, treasury management products, and portfolio management.
• Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow.
• Formal credit training highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the South Florida commercial banking market.
