Position Summary

CLJ Consulting and Contracting, LLC is seeking a qualified Financial Analyst Journeyman to support the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in Miami, Florida.

The Financial Analyst Journeyman will provide detailed financial analysis and reporting support, including review of financial statements, cost data, operating and project reports, financial institution records, and other supporting documentation. The position will identify financial trends, risks, discrepancies, and areas requiring additional review while preparing accurate reports, projections, calculations, and recommendations in support of SEC requirements.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple financial-analysis assignments while meeting established deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyze financial statements, cost data, operating reports, and project reports.
  • Perform complex financial calculations and present findings as required for assigned projects.
  • Conduct initial assessments and provide recommendations regarding areas requiring additional review by auditors.
  • Prepare accounting reports, financial reports, projections, and other required documentation based on analysis performed.
  • Identify financial performance trends, financial risks, discrepancies, and areas of concern, and provide appropriate recommendations.
  • Review and analyze records of financial institutions, including savings and loan associations, operating records, investment records, and related financial documentation.
  • Review available property-related information, as applicable, to assist in identifying areas requiring additional financial analysis.
  • Organize, interpret, and present financial data in a clear, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in analyses, calculations, reports, and work products.
  • Manage multiple assignments concurrently and adjust priorities as requirements change.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Finance or Accounting
    , from an accredited college, university, school, or educational institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of recent experience as a Financial Analyst
    .
  • Demonstrated experience performing financial analysis, including analysis of financial statements, cost data, operating information, and related financial records.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Share Point .
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
    , including:
    • Formatting
    • VLOOKUP
    • Pivot Tables
    • Formulas
    • Functions
  • Demonstrated experience working with large Excel files and Pivot Tables to organize data and conduct in-depth financial analysis.
  • Ability to provide a favorable credit history
