Our Indirect Tax practices navigate the complexities of state and local taxes, which often constitute a company's largest tax burden and are on the rise globally. YourKey Responsibilities
- Performing due diligence, including review of tax returns, financials, and other documentation to identify and quantify potential state income and non-income tax risks.
- Researching complex tax issues and developing quality, practical tax approaches.
- Contributing to client satisfaction by promptly and effectively responding to client needs and concerns.
- Participating in client meetings and working within teams to deliver fully integrated services.
- Actively strengthening your tax knowledge through client assignments and current tax developments.
- Developing and delivering timely , high-quality services and work products.
To qualify for the role, you must have :
- Actively working towards obtaining either an LL.M. in Taxation or Juris Doctor, supported by a strong academic record .
- Membership or anticipated membership in a US state bar.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- An interest working in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year .
- The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.
- Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
- You must reside within a commutable distance of the office location associated with this position.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship, now and in the future.
- An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
- 3.0 cumulative l aw school GPA .
- Superior project management, interpersonal, communication, teaming and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.
