Process Server I -Victim Witness Process Service Unit

Location: E.R. Graham Building

Position Overview:

The Process Server position in the Victim Witness Process Service Unit requires serving personal service subpoena requests and Subpoena Duces Tecums to various addresses throughout Miami-Dade County. The work schedule for this position is 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a possible Saturday rotation. Candidates must be flexible with their work schedule.

The Job Responsibilities are:
  • Serving subpoenas and court summons
  • Locating witnesses who have moved and/or are avoiding participating in the felony criminal court system
  • Updating the Subpoena Program with the return of service
  • Completing monthly Vehicle Inspection Reports
  • Completing Daily Activity Reports
  • Working closely with the Unit Paralegals to obtain better contact information
  • Performing other related duties as assigned
The Minimum Requirements are:
  • High School Diploma or its equivalent
  • One (1) year of law enforcement investigation or related work experience
  • Must have a valid Florida Driver License, possess a very good driving record and meet the requirements of the State Attorney's Office Driving Policy
  • Must have knowledge of the geographical layout of Miami-Dade County
