A Lead Analyst is professionally-trained and certified in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to provide clinical skills instruction and evaluate the behavior of children and young adults with autism spectrum disorder or related development disorders.
A Lead Analyst develops individualized treatment plans, monitors progress and continually evaluates the treatment plan protocol against behavioral progress.
The Lead Analyst also assists in any context that requires skill acquisition or changing a behavioral hierarchy via therapeutic intervention. This includes working with children, teens, and adults who may have suffered prolonged abuse and modified their behaviors to their situations.
What A Lead Analyst Does
A Lead Analyst observes and assesses behavior and functioning to develop the most effective treatment plan, ensuring that your child or young adult receives treatment based on specific problems and learning ability.
- Oversees treatment implementation and supervises ABA therapists (RBTs) who work directly with the child or young adult.
- Conducts parent & family coaching
- Maintains close contact with parents and other members of the behavior analysis team and with school or other medical professionals, when necessary.
Position Summary
The Lead Analyst is responsible for conducting assessments, writing, implementing, and monitoring behavior plans, data collection and display, as well as training and supervising caregivers and staff in the home and community settings.
The Lead Analyst:
- Conducts functional behavior assessments and recommends positive behavior supports for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other related disorders.
- Develops Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Creates individualized skill acquisition programming and/or behavior reduction plans relying on evidence-based methodology.
- Supervises individualized programs for clients in home and school settings.
- Reviews and evaluates the performance of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to ensure proper implementation of treatment plans and set goals for professional development. Models implementation of treatment for RBTs and monitors implementation of treatment plans and provides feedback.
- Accurately completes reporting requirements specific to the client funding source; meets strict deadlines.
- Directly supervises and manages direct staff; regularly performs written staff performance evaluations; provides BACB supervision experience for RBTs, provides quality parent training to parents/caregivers; collaborates with related professionals/teachers who work with the client.
- Provides direct instruction, training, and support to client, family members, and professional staff during regularly scheduled visits.

Qualifications | Proof of Certification must one include the following:
- Behavior Analyst Certification Board designation as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA);
- Behavior Analyst Certification Board designation as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst Doctoral (BCBA-D);
- Florida Licensed Clinical Social Worker;
- Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor;
- Florida Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist;
Education | Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field
Professional Experience | Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience completing comprehensive functional assessment and behavior support plan; minimum of two (2) years’ experience serving individuals with lifelong disabilities preferred.
