DescriptionCancer Conferences or Tumor Boards are regularly scheduled meetings with the oncology multidisciplinary team to discuss individualized patient plans of care. The coordinator is a role that is essential to the team, responsible for the administrative management, support, and functioning of the cancer conference and disease‑management team meetings. The coordinator maintains the responsibility of planning, communicating, interacting and collaborating with the medical team, healthcare professionals and leadership.
Estimated pay range for this position is $17.79 – $21.53 per hour depending on experience.
QualificationsDegrees:
- High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certification of Completion, GED, or equivalent training or experience
- Associate’s degree preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Power Point
- Prefer coursework or equivalent experience in medical terminology and human anatomy and physiology
- Ability to interpret components of the medical record needed, including pathology, radiology, history and physical, operative and/or discharge reports
- Must be familiar with confidentiality requirements and able to maintain privacy of patient data
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Comfortable interacting and collaborating with physicians and health‑care professionals
- Self‑starter, able to work with minimal supervision
