Position Overview

The Surgical Technology Services Adjunct teaches courses in the lecture, laboratory and/or clinical setting.

Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.

What you will be doing

* Provides instruction in Surgical Technology Services courses

* Evaluates and advises students

* Develops curricula

* Recruits students

* Serves on committees

* Performs other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed

* Master's or Bachelor's degree in any field and an Associate's degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology or Surgical Services from a regionally accredited college/university; and Valid national certification from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA); and Three (3) years of full-time operating room experience as a surgical technologist and/or instructional experience in field

* All degrees must be from regionally accredited institutions

* Must possess excellent communication skills

* Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community

* Must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

* Must be able to travel between campuses, clinical sites and off-campus offering sites

* Must possess basic computer skills
