Unity Health and Rehabilitation Center, a leading provider of Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Care, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Respiratory Therapy to join our team in Miami, Florida. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will be responsible for leading and directing the respiratory therapy department, ensuring that our residents receive the highest level of care and support.

Location:

Miami, Florida.
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year.

Reporting to the Medical Director, the Director of Respiratory Therapy will oversee the daily operations of the respiratory therapy department, including patient care, staff supervision, and departmental budgeting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory therapy, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

• Lead and direct the respiratory therapy department, ensuring that high‑quality patient care is delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
• Supervise and evaluate the performance of respiratory therapy staff, providing guidance and coaching as needed.
• Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and quality of care projects.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring financial stability and effective resource allocation.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of respiratory therapy practices, laws, and regulations, and apply this knowledge to improve patient outcomes and departmental operations.

• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a respiratory therapy setting.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with experience supervising respiratory therapy staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
