We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive patient care in various clinical settings, including outpatient clinics, hospital environments, and emergency departments. This role involves supporting physicians and healthcare providers with clinical and administrative duties, ensuring high-quality patient service. Candidates with experience in dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine, or trauma centers are highly valued.

- Assist with patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures in outpatient, inpatient, or emergency settings
- Support physicians with procedures such as medication administration, injections, and basic X‑ray operations
- Maintain accurate documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and ensure compliance with medical terminology standards
- Assist with ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures to ensure proper billing and record‑keeping
- Provide patient education on treatments, medications, and follow‑up care
- Support hospital medicine units such as Geriatrics, PICU, or Medical‑Surgical departments as needed
- Assist in emergency medicine scenarios within Level I or Level II trauma centers
- Perform basic laboratory tasks and support in radiology procedures when required
- Ensure infection control protocols are followed diligently in all clinical activities
- Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program
- Prior experience in dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine, or trauma centers is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medication administration
- Experience working with EHR systems and medical administrative support tasks
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as X‑ray or OR experience are a plus
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to handle diverse patient populations including Geriatrics and Pediatrics (PICU)
- Ability to work efficiently in outpatient or inpatient settings within hospital environments or clinics
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and patient safety
