The medical assistant will perform quality team-based patient care under the direct supervision of a clinician for both clinical and administrative functions to promote health and wellness in a safe and friendly environment. This role supports clinicians and care management teams in assessing, maintaining chronic disease management, examining, and treating the patient population. The medical assistant is responsible for performing all laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.

• Perform quality team-based patient care under clinician supervision.

• Examine and treat patient population in a pediatric primary care clinic.
• Conduct laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.

• High School diploma required
• 2 years' experience within clinic/back office healthcare setting
• MA diploma or Certified MA (CMA) or 3 years' MA experience
• Phlebotomy experience required
• Ability to take vitals, manual vitals preferred
• Active driver's license
• Bilingual (English-Spanish) required
• Flexible to adjust to changing work environment
• Experience with Tri Med EMR preferred
• Knowledge of laboratory quality control requirements
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology

The role is 100% onsite in a pediatric primary care clinic. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, and every other Saturday from 8:00am to 12:00pm.

This is a Permanent position based out of Miami, FL.

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $45000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Miami,FL.
