Position SummaryThe CT Supervisor is a working leader responsible for the daily clinical and operational oversight of the Computed Tomography department. This role combines hands‑on CT imaging responsibilities with supervisory, quality, and process improvement functions. The CT Supervisor ensures compliance with ACR, ARRT, and Joint Commission standards while promoting a patient‑centered, high‑performance culture focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and collaboration.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Clinical & Technical Leadership- Perform CT imaging as a working supervisor.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of CT imaging, CT physics, anatomy, and scanning principles.
- Ensure CT protocols meet ACR accreditation standards.
- Optimize protocols to balance image quality and radiation dose.
- Maintain radiation and contrast safety standards.
- Oversee CT quality control activities.
- Lead ACR accreditation and documentation efforts.
- Maintain Joint Commission readiness.
- Participate in quality improvement and assurance initiatives.
- Manage CT staffing schedules.
- Improve ED and ICU turnaround times.
- Implement workflow and operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot operational and system issues.
- Lead, mentor, and support CT technologists.
- Promote professionalism, accountability, and teamwork.
- Manage conflict and provide coaching.
- Support staff training and ARRT continuing education.
- Communicate effectively in high‑pressure environments.
- Collaborate with ED, ICU, and hospital leadership.
- Participate in interdisciplinary initiatives.
- ARRT (R)(CT) certification.
- Active state licensure.
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
- Strong knowledge of CT physics and radiation safety.
- Experience with ACR accreditation.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Prior supervisory experience.
- Trauma, ED, or ICU CT experience.
- Quality improvement experience.
