Job Description
Communicates and provides training on regulatory compliance policies to ensure consistency across the Division. Facilitates consistency and standardization in company‑wide compliance activities, including conducting and documenting investigative activities. Responds to inquiries and research requests on compliance issues from staff and leadership. Manages investigation and response to Compliance Hotline calls related to designated facilities. Assists in coordinating external audits related to compliance topics for the assigned Division.
Provides guidance and support for board of directors compliance updates consistent with Compliance Program objectives. Provides leadership to Regional Compliance Officers within the assigned Division, including compliance and regulatory guidance, development, and support. Develops and implements strategic solutions for compliance and privacy matters in collaboration with Regional Compliance Officers. Oversees compliance monitoring, auditing activities, and risk assessment identification and mitigation within the assigned Division.
Participates in regular update meetings with senior leadership and attends leadership meetings within the Division. Contributes to company‑wide Compliance Program initiatives, including strategic planning, education, communication, and guidance. Collaborates with the SVP, Chief Compliance Officer on the implementation and effectiveness of the Compliance Program in the assigned Division. Serves as a member of the Compliance Department Executive Team. Other duties as assigned.
Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to understand healthcare regulatory environment, including Stark, Anti‑Kickback, False Claims, and HIPAA.
- Ability to understand key areas that interact with Corporate Responsibility, including revenue cycle, billing and coding, and physician compensation practices.
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and written) with senior leadership and all other levels of personnel throughout the organization.
- Exhibit proven organizational skills in compliance and privacy‑related activities.
- Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Ability to travel within the Division and to the Corporate Office.
- Knowledge of the culture and working environment in Advent Health is helpful.

Work Experience- 5+ years specific experience in hospital compliance and/or physician practice/medical group compliance, coding and/or operations and/or post‑acute compliance, depending on the designated entities [Required]
- 5+ years healthcare regulatory or financial experience at a management level [Required]
- Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) [Preferred]
