Position: Occupational Therapy Assistant, COTA -Miami, FL 33136 - Outpatient Home Setting

Seeking a CO TA, Occupational Therapy Assistant to cover therapy services in Miami, FL 33136 in a Home Setting

Responsibilities
  • Implement selected components of care and interventions in a technically competent manner
  • Provide skilled intervention to improve patient functional independence
  • Communicate with families, physicians, and other health care team members
  • Keep timely, thorough documentation of services in the medical record
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited college or university with an Associates in Occupational Therapy‑OTA.
  • Two years (preferred) of clinical experience in the respective fields of study.
  • Actively licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.
  • Lymphedema Certified‑CLT a plus but not required.
Job Type: PRN
  • A PRN therapist is part of an on‑call pool of therapists who work on a per diem basis.
  • Flexible schedule: choose when you work and accept or decline cases based on availability.
  • Variety of settings: work in assisted living facilities and residential home settings.
  • Higher rates: PRN positions often offer higher pay rates, though benefits such as paid time off and health insurance are not provided.
  • No long‑term contracts: assignments vary from a few patients to many, with no firm commitments to a specific facility.
  • Weekend and holiday shifts may be required, typically with premium pay rates.
  • Skill maintenance: exposure to different patient cases and treatment approaches enhances professional growth.
  • Networking opportunities: interacting with various colleagues, physicians, and patients expands your professional network.
