Overview

South Florida Ambulatory Surgery Center is hiring a Registration Representative, Full Time for a busy, multispecialty ASC in Miami, FL. United Surgical Partners International specializes in the development and operation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities in the U.S. and the UK. We provide first-class surgical services for local communities and recognize our employees as our number one asset.

Responsibilities
  • Front Desk Clerk interfaces with patients and families, physicians and staff; admit patients and process their paperwork; update patient demographics/information in the system; answer incoming phone calls; greet patients and check in patients; filing and answering phones; provide back-up support for the business office.
  • Schedule procedures and register patients; verify insurance and collect deposits as necessary; prepare appropriate documents and assist with business office duties as needed.
  • Answers telephone and directs callers to appropriate personnel; schedule patients using Advantx with a high rate of accuracy.
  • Provide exemplary customer service; treat patients and coworkers with courtesy and discretion; greet and direct patients, salespeople and visitors.
  • Register patients by verifying that patient records are up to date and accurate; make appropriate changes in computer system and on patient charts.
  • Comply with federal and local laws to ensure patient privacy; collect payments, apply payments and adjustments to patient accounts in the computer system.
  • Review medical records for completeness, assemble records in standard order, and file records according to filing systems.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Medical Office Experience Preferred.
  • Chart preparation experience preferred.
  • Skills to operate office equipment required to fulfill job duties.
  • Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Good communication skills.
