Registration Representative South Florida Ambulatory Surgery Center is hiring a Registration Representative, Full Time South Florida Ambulatory Surgery Center
needed for busy, multispecialty ASC in Miami, FL. The Front Desk Clerk interfaces with patients and families, physicians and staff;
Admit patients and process their paperwork;
Update patient demographics/information in the system;
Answer incoming phone calls. Greet patients, check in patients, filing, answering phones, provides back‑up support for business office.
Schedules procedures, registers patients, calculates charges, verifies insurance, and collects deposits as necessary. Prepares appropriate documents and assist business office duties as needed.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAnswers telephone and either responds to inquiry, directs caller to appropriate personnel. Schedules patients using Advantx with a high rate of accuracy. Provides exemplary customer service; treats patients and coworkers with courtesy and discretion. Greets and directs patients, sales people and visitors. Registers patients by verifying that patient’s record is up to date and accurate. Makes appropriate changes in computer system and on patient’s chart.
Complies with federal and local laws in ensuring patient privacy. Collects payment from patients, applies payments and adjustments to patient accounts in the computer system. Reviews medical records for completeness, assembles records into standard order, and files records in designated areas according to filing systems.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Medical Office Experience Preferred.
- Chart preparation experience preferred.
- Must have the skills necessary to operate office equipment that are required to fulfill job duties.
- Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Good communication skills.
